I can barely remember Friday, it seems so long ago. Let me try and recap as best I can.
Home from work, picked up by Melissa, showered, changed and out the door to Ormskirk station, where I boarded a train to Liverpool to meet Stew and John, and then on to Jamie's Italian to meet Lea and is now fiancée and a bunch of Lea's family. Ate well, went on to another bar, and then I had to leave as I was at the mercy of the public transport system. Melissa's dad picked me up from Ormskirk thankfully, and took me to see Melissa and Penny who were staying at their house.
Bed, then and then it was Saturday.
Up early and into Liverpool for a pair of suit pants for me and a(nother) pair of shoes for Melissa. It was a very successful shopping trip and we were done in about an hour, then home to clean the house. Yay.
Penny was staying with Melissa's mum and dad again as we had a works do (hence the pants and shoes). Melissa went out to get her hair done, came home, threw her dress on, and I showered and put my suit on and then we stood around waiting for Tracy, Tracy and Dave for almost an hour. We had some champagne and then jumped in our taxi to head to the Lancashire Manor Hotel.
We had a cracking night and loads to drink, and then, somehow, got a taxi at midnight on a Saturday with little or no fuss. It was well foggy, and that's about all I remember of the journey home.
We got in and I have vague memories of Melissa asking me to make her toast, just before I passed out to the dulcet tones of Melissa hoying her guts into the bog. She informed me that, in an effort to sober up (and clean the spew off herself) she had a shower at 2am. No memory of this.
Sunday morning, then. I woke up singing Big Mouth Strikes Again by The Smiths, and the memory of a really bad karaoke rendition that I "performed" with Sammi. I got up, uploaded the photos to Facebook and once more enjoyed listening to my lovely wife spew her hoop.
We had grand plans for today. We were going to collect Penny early, then go for a lovely walk, do some (the) ASDA shopping and have a charming family day. We went to collect Penny, however, and Melissa pretty much went straight to sleep in her mum and dads bad. I was left to amuse Penny, who got bored with my antics and had a sleep, so I ended up watching Salt on the Sky Movies with my farther in law.
Melissa woke up a lot chirpier than she had been, and her mum cooked us a roast I couldn't eat because my insides were sore.
We eventually came home, unloaded Penny's stuff and then me and she sat listening to music while Melissa put the steriliser on. I called my mum and dad to check in, and then we bathed Penny and put her today. She's been as good as gold, as per usual. Chatting away and making ridiculous noises. The new milk does seem to be helping too, so that's good.
The rest of the evening will be spent doing as little as possible and then going to sleep.
Hope you all had a great weekend. Normal blog service is to resume tomorrow.
