Day 373

Once again Penny woke up at a silly time to taunt us over the baby monitor. 90 minutes of gurgling and bleating. She eventually nodded off after Melissa gave her a line of cocaine Ashton and Parsons.

And so it came to pass that at 7am I was awoken by my alarm, dozed back off and re-awoken by a loud scream from Penny who must have sensed my irresponsible lapse back into slumber. I got up, shoved her dummy back in and got in the shower. By the time I got out Penny had managed to rouse Melissa from her slumber (impressive) and she was downstairs making up a bottle. I got Penny out of her cot and had a cuddle before work and then I was off.

Today wasn't nearly as stressful as Monday and Tuesday, but it was by no means a walk in the park. At 12pm I was in charge for the rest of the day. Which could have ended in a disaster, but I coped admirably. I think.

I walked home to find Melissa had been to Primark in Liverpool and bought some more fucking new shoes, and Penny some stuff too. No shoes though, surprisingly. I played with Penny while Melissa cooked tea, then we swapped places when Penny got bored and finished off tea.

Then it was Penny's bedtime. She's taking 7oz like it was nothing at bed time, but it's not keeping her asleep unfortunately.  We think her teeth are back to bothering her a bit, which is what's waking her up. On a more positive note, she lactose free milk seems to be doing the trick. Her dumps are much more solid, and she's keeping the milk down a lot more than she was. The trial continues.

Anyway, I went to (the) ASDA for some odds and ends and a new bathmat, and now it's time for a beer and some XBOX.

Thursday tomorrow. The finish line is in almost sight...
