Today is 29th of February. A leap day. You're supposed to do something a little bit wild and out of character to "celebrate" apparently. I didn't bother.
We were awakened at 5am by what we thought was a little tiny ghost. It, in actual fact, Penny through the baby monitor going "wooooooo". We let her her "woo" away for a bit but around 6am Melissa made her a bottle and put her back to sleep.
I got up at 7am, then, showered and walked to work. It was a lovely morning, cool, damp. Just lovely.
Work was much better today, in that I got to leave at 4pm. I also finished the implementation of a project I was doing so that felt good.
I walked home at 4pm to find Ellen and Melissa in the kitchen eating crisps while Penny looked on. She's much better today, and back to her usual self. Chatty, cheery and smiley. Still got the squits a bit, but apart from that we have no complaints.
Melissa cooked us tea this evening which was lovely, but obviously I have to do the dishes. And there are a LOT of dishes. Then I will spend my evening trying to complete Alan Wake on the XBOX.
Melissa's evening beats mine hands down. She's breaking out the iron my mum and dad bought her for her birthday (at her request) and she's going to iron. She's excited, I'm excited, the cats couldn't care less and Penny is fast asleep.
Thursday tomorrow. I've only been in work two days this week, and I already want tomorrow to be Friday. Nevermind.
