Day 358

Tuesday, slept quite well, but as is now typical, Penny woke up at an ungodly hour and lay there making fart noises with her mouth and singing to herself. We eventually relented and put her dummy back in and she nodded off, leaving us to nod back off too. I nodded off to a land of robots and people shooting me to steal my phone. I was glad to wake up and realise I was still in sunny Skelmersdale and I had a boring day of mainframe support ahead of me.

But wait, what's that? Oh yes, today we went to Manchester for a retirement dinner for Keith at a place called Papa G's. All expenses paid, I might add. Nom.

I had the ribs. They were delicious. Could have done with some bread to mop up the BBQ sauce, but I'm not one to complain. We went back to work then. Bleugh. Stuffed. Fortunately, it was nearly home time, so I caught up on emails and procrastinated until 4pm, when I met Melissa, her mum and Penny and we walked home together.

Penny's heading back to her old sicky ways, we think she may have built up a bit of a tolerance to the medicine she's been on, so Melissa's been on to the paediatrician and they're going to set us up a follow up appointment to see if there's any more that can be done. Aside from that though, she's fine.

I've not had any tea due to gorging earlier, but I might knock up some cheese on toast later if I feel peckish enough. However, a new computer game has arrived for me to play and so that might take up more of my time than it should. Need an early night tonight though, as I'm up at 6am to catch a coach to Manchester for a conference with work. Fun. Probably.

See you tomorrow with all the conference highlights.
