And so Monday came and went.
Not bad nights sleep for all of us, excluding an interlude at 2:37am when Penny woke up chunnering to herself. I left her be, and just as I was dozing off Melissa got up for a toilet trip, heard Penny was awake, put her dummy in, and back to sleep we all went.
7am came, and I got up for work feeling moderately fresh and off I marched to work. Work was alright, I phoned the council about the faulty street light and they said they'd get someone out in up to 5 working days. Watch this space. Then 4pm came round and I walked home in the rain with my umbrella. Bliss.
I got home to an empty house (except for the cats, obviously). Melissa was at Slimming World with Penny and her mum so I lounged about for an hour until they got home, then had a play with Penny, fed her some food which she violently vomited into my hair and eye later on.
Melissa was just walking out the door to go (the) ASDA while I gave Penny her last bottle of the night when she kicked off big style and wouldn't take the bottle from me. She's become quite clingy recently and doesn't like it when Melissa's not around. Fortunately, she was knackered, so Melissa fed her and put her to bed and she went out like a light.
Now, if you'll excuse me I'm going to sit by the front door with a knife and fork and await my wife returning from wherever she decides to get our delicious takeaway tea from.
Noms,
