Day 352

Waking up seems like ages ago, but I'm pretty sure we all slept well and Penny woke up just before my alarm went off at 7am, which was good.

Melissa took Penny up to Middlewich today to see her friend Kerry while I went to work and slogged my guts out. I left at 3pm to come home and help tidy the house, feed penny and hoover, before my mum and dad came to visit with holiday gifts and 1,457 holiday snaps. They brought Penny some cuddly toys which she was ambivalent about, but when she saw the clothes she started shaking and shouting. She only usually gets that excited by food. She's truly her mothers daughter.

We were given an explanation and description of each photo, then we put Penny to bed and I cooked a lovely tea for us all. Then we looked at the second half of the photos. It seemed to take for ever, but in actuality it only took about 2 hours. Some lovely photos, several versions of the same lovely photo, some blurry photos, and several photos of my mother posing awkwardly in front of various landmarks.

Still, I'm glad we got them out the way.

They've just left, and we're exhausted. I might have a beer, or a whiskey, or something stronger, then get into bed and ready my comics.

It feels like tomorrow should be Friday, but it's Thursday. Close, but no cigar.

See you tomorrow.
