Day 351

I'll try and keep it brief today.

We all slept epically last night. Penny got 12 hours, I got 8 hours, Melissa got... Well I don't know how much sleep she got, but she hasn't moaned about being sleepy much today.

We both pretended we hadn't bought each other Valentines cards, but of course, we'd both bought each other Valentines cards. Hilarious. I also bought her a Peanut Butter Kit-Kat as she'd been moaning about them for days.

I drove to work today as I was working a half day, and so at 11:30am I drove home via (the) ASDA and then home, where I fed Penny and we had a lovely chat and a play. We wrapped her up warm, then, and headed over to my mum and dads to surprise them on their return home. They'd been on an around the world trip for the past 3 months, and they weren't expecting to see us until tomorrow evening.

Surprise!

We hid the car round the corner and locked ourselves in the house and waited for them to get home; Penny almost ruined the surprise with Sophie the squeaky giraffe, but fortunately they didn't hear her. My mother walked into the kitchen and almost shit herself. They were both knackered, my dad had forgotten how to make a cup of tea. Mine had almost no milk in it, but the poor fella was knackered so I didn't say anything.

We hung round for a bit, chatting, poking Penny, then we left them to unpack and just generally get over the fact that they weren't on the other side of the world.

Home, then. Via (the) ASDA once again for some ingredients for tea tomorrow, and yoghurts for my breakfast tomorrow, then Melissa played with Penny, whilst I cooked tea. We put Penny to bed and ate a yummy tea of gammon bean chips and an (the last) egg for Melissa and pineapple for me.

Tonight is cleaning night. I've done my bit, Melissa will do hers when she gets out the bath. Then an early night as I've got a cold threatening, and I'm also knackered. Penny's cheeks are bright pink, she's particularly toothy today. Fingers crossed for a quiet night.

My plan for the blog Anniversary is to type up my entire evening watching the Oscars as it happens, which will be Earth shatteringly boring for everyone except me. But there we go.

See you tomorrow!

Welcome home Grandma and Grandad! We've missed you guys : ) xx
