Another day another dollar.
I did indeed treat myself to a beer or two last night once I'd helped my cyborg-wife unload the shopping, then at a very reasonable 10:30pm we went to bed. Melissa read her book, I read my comics, and Penny slept soundly.
She woke up every so often, just mooching for her dummy through the night, but by and large we all slept quite well.
It was another cold morning walk to work, and another typical Friday. A quiet morning, then, at about 3pm it all kicked off (not really, I'm exaggerating, but loads of requests for stuff came in at the same time and it was quite hectic for about 15 minutes). Melissa and Penny came in to see Melissa's boss about her return to work (for those that don't know, although I can't imagine who that might be, Melissa and I met at work and we still work on the same floor, when she's not at home looking after Penny).
She left, then, and went to (the) ASDA, thankfully without me, and then at 4pm Ellen gave me a lift home. We fed Penny and then I cooked our tea up. We tried to eat it, but Penny shit all over herself and it sort of ruined the mood a bit, then Emma popped round to drop in an invite for Harry's baptism in April (we've still not sorted ours out yet... I say "we" I mean "Melissa").
Penny, who behaved all day, hasn't really slept, and so as a consequence was proper grouchy this evening. We've bathed and fed her, and put her down. Now I have to rip up a carpet and paint some skirting boards. Coz that's what I like to do on a Friday night.
