Don't mention the pub quiz. Howard spent 25 minutes answering just one question. I answered the rest myself. We didn't win. But we were quite drunk. I spent the taxi ride home ranting about the youth of today to a driver who I think was younger than me.
I slept really well, and was oblivious to Penny being awake from 3am until 4:30am. Fortunately Melissa was compus mentus and saw to the infant in her own inimitable style. God bless her.
I awoke with a slightly fuggy head, but showered and walked to work in the freezing temperatures like a trooper. I heard the woodpecker that I mentioned in earlier blogs, which means, as far as I'm concerned, that Spring is nearly here.
Work was passable. I got quite a bit done too, so that was good. I met Melissa, her mum and Penny outside work and we all walked home together, which was nice. I prepared Penny's tea when we got in, then I prepared ours. I did a sort of Spanish chicken type thing, with roast potatoes. It was nice. If I do say so myself.
This evening we're cleaning the house. I've chosen to hoover, while Melissa will clean up the mess I've made in the kitchen, then I expect Melissa will want to finish her book and I'll be watching a film, for a change.
To the hoover!
See you tomorrow.
