Day 336

Monday. Melissa's birthday. We all slept well, until about 5:30. Penny woke up and Melissa played the birthday card, so I had to get up and tend to her. I changed her, fed her, and put her back down and went for another hour.

Then, at about 7:30? I don't know, I was comatose, I got up to get Penny and bring her into our bed, but when I tried, the stench of poo hit me and I made Melissa get up and change her shitty bum. Happy birthday, my love.

Once that was done, Penny got in bed with us and Melissa opened her pressies, demanded coffee and promptly fell back to sleep with Penny.

At about midday we made our way to Aintree, to buy a new carpet for the stairs and landing, then to Pets At Home for cat litter, then to (the) ASDA for some stuff, then home, then Melissa and her mum went to Slimming world while I hoovered, then the came home, between us we fed Penny and then headed out for a birthday day for Melissa.

We went to Miller and Carter on Parbold Hill, which is apparently a franchised steak house place. It was quite expensive at first glance, but the quality and quantity of the food was damn good.

Mine , all mine. 8oz rump steak, rare, chips, onion loaf, lobster thermidor, king prawn kebab skewer and a blue cheese salad. Noms.

 Absolutely stuffed, we left, Penny a little bit agitated because it was past her bath and bedtime, and then came home.

Penny fell asleep in the car, which in some ways was revenge for us ruining her routine. Having woken her up, she's just had her bath and bottle, and is showing no signs of wanting to sleep at all. This evening could be fun.

Back to work tomorrow, so that's fun too. Dentist on Thursday. Don't let me forget!
