Still, we were up bright and early and ready to face the day, and after a hearty breakfast we were on our way to Ikea. Suicide, really, on a Saturday. We got there (eventually. I'm rubbish at following directions, even to places I've been several times) and drove straight through the car park as there was absolutely nowhere to park. Amazing.
We went to Next over the road to see if we could find a new lamp for the living room (we couldn't) and then chanced Ikea again. Result. A space. We headed inside and took a seat in the canteen bit while Melissa fed Penny.
We were bustled round Ikea faster than I've been and for once I was glad we were going with the flow. We bought, in the end, pasta bowls, a dust pan and brush (because out current one is dirty, apparently) and a curtain rail for my 'office'.
Then we headed home, via the in laws to fix Melissa's dads laptop (again).
Home then, to feed Penny. Unfortunately she went fucking ballistic and screamed the house down. We put it down to two things : Tiredness. She's been awake almost all day, and most of last night. Teething. We slavered her gums with Dentinox and she shut up and had a lovely little nap. While all this went on I made tea.
Toad in the hole, chips, peas and gravy.
This evening, pending a good kip from Penny, Melissa and I will be watching a film. Strictly Ballroom, since you ask. And yes, it was my choice. What of it?
Right, see you tomorrow.
Bye!
