Day 325

Thursday. Praise the lord.

Penny slept Ok last night, but woke up at about 11pm. We soothed her for a bit and she nodded off. Then at 1am the same thing happened and we couldn't get her to settle. She was almost crying at points and the Dentinox wasn't helping, so we moved on to plan b : Calpol. She went off like a light. Poor little bugger.

She woke up more or less with me at about 7am and while I showered, Melissa fed her and then I walked to work with Ellen, who's car has broken down. She doesn't like walking on her own when it's cold and dark. She needs a burly, strapping, handsome man to escort her. Unfortunately, she had to plump for me.

Work was better today, I don't THINK I broke anything. But time will tell.

I walked home with Ellen and her husband and their dog, and sat with Melissa and Penny and we all played games. Penny's really trying hard to sit up on her own, and has spent a large part of the day making funny noises and blowing bubbles. She's currently having her bed time bottle.

Nanny has come round to baby sit as me and Melissa were going to go to the hospital for the "family planning" clinic (I know, it's a bit late for that) and we were told by the receptionist at our GP to phone up at about 6:30pm to see if there's a doctor on, and then we can just go along and Melissa can have "the implant" fitted. That's a load of shit though. When we phoned we were told there was a waiting list, and Melissa would have to wait until the 9th of Feb. What a load of shit. Just as well we didn't drive up there on spec.

Still, it means I get to play Zelda all night again, so it's not a great loss.

Friday tomorrow. Oh yes.

See you then.
