5am, Penny wakes up laughing and chunnering away, we tried to get her back to sleep but it wasn't happening. I got up then, to go for a wee, and on my way back to bed, I put Penny's dummy back in her mouth. As I did this, she reached out with both hands, grabbed my hand with her gloved fingers, opened her eyes wide and made a noise that sounded like "Hi". It was amazing. It may even have been a dream, but I don't think it was, as I didn't really get back to sleep until after 7am, which is when I should have been getting up. 7:50am I finally got up, showered, dressed and was out the door, putting the recycling out on my way.
I drove to work and was late. But there we go.
Today was a quiet day. Some stuff happened, but not much.
After work I drove to doctors to pick up Penny's prescription, then I went to the pharmacy to drop it in. Then I went to the shop to buy Canderal for Melissa and I treated myself to a blackcurrant Capri Sun. I drank that, and went back to the pharmacy to wait for the prescription.
They were out of one of the things we needed, so Melissa's going back tomorrow to pick it up.
I came home, then. Melissa cooked a lovely tea and me and Penny watched Mickey Mouse and Jungle Junction, then, against my better judgement I put together Penny's baby walker thing.
Loves it. It makes loads of noises and has wheels. I hate it. Penny's been better today, a bit whingey, but not as bad as yesterday. The early night probably helped. Not doing that again tonight though, don't want a 5am wakeup call.
This evening Celeb Big Brother starts, which leaves me free to do whatever I want with the downstairs TV. But let's face it, I'll be playing Zelda.
