Day 294

Monday meant waking up with the fear that it might be sub Arctic temperatures, so I wrapped up with hat, scarf, jumper and thick coat and headed out, saying to Melissa "I may be some time". I needn't have worried, however, as it was actually quite nice. Dark, cold, sure, but not nearly as cold as I'd anticipated.

Work was bordering on horrendous which was exacerbated somewhat when Melissa text me asking if I wanted to go to (the) ASDA afterwards. Fortunately, she and Penny went with her mother to Wigan (the) ASDA and picked me up on the way home.

Of course, I didn't escape that easily, and we ended up in (the) Iceland on the way home.

We got in, I gave Penny some carrot and potato and then a bottle of milk while Melissa cooked tea. This is what she presented me with :

A selection of Stacey Solomon's finest festive treats. "Great" I thought, "A plate of party nibbles to share". Turns out that was just my plate, as Melissa returned to the room with a similar sized plate of party grub. "What?!" she questioned. "It's Christmas" she justified.

Most of that eaten it was Penny's bathtime. She loves her bath. Hates getting out though. Tonight she went ballistic. Proper ballistic. It took a while to get her settled, she was farting away so it looks like she had windy pains. She was so worked up she couldn't take her bottle without choking. In the end, after 5floz Melissa gave up and within minutes, Penny was fast asleep. Looks like she was just shattered.

This evening I plan on watching the new Dark Knight Rises trailer on repeat about 30 or 40 times, then hopefully capturing some screenshots to scrutinise.

Not sure what Melissa's doing. There's still a load of party food to try though.

See you tomorrow.
