Slept well, yadda yadda, Penny this, Melissa that etc etc...
Work was a slog, it felt over-long and was over-tedious mainly due to the fact that this evening me and Stewart were driving to Manchester to see the first 6 minutes of The Dark Knight Rises.
Got home from work, sat with Penny then cooked tea and waited for Stew. He arrived at 5:45pm as he said he would, but with a flatter than usual tyre. Thankfully I was driving my car so there was no need to worry about that.
We got to Manchester at about 6:50pm due to traffic woes and average speed cameras at 50mph and took our place in the queue. We were 4th from the front and security was tight.
Shortly after taking this photo my phone was taken off me. It genuinely was, but so was everyone else's, they sealed the phones in bags and gave us raffle tickets so we could redeem them at the end, and as well as that they had people with metal detector wands checking no one was taking anything in like video cameras and whatever. We took our seats at 8:40pm as there had been a mix up with the showing times, and got settled as everyone filed in. We were the first seated, of course, in our usual seats. There was a chap at the front constantly scanning the audience with a night vision camera, too. As I said, security was tight.
The screening started at perhaps 8:55pm and was over in the 6 minutes and it was fantastic. It was an excellent teaser to so much, it wouldn't do it justice to describe it.
We also got free t-shirts.
We redeemed our phones and headed home, chatting about what we'd seen, then we went in Stew's car to sort out his tyre. He dropped me home and now I'm going to get in bed and watch the second part of This Is England '88.
Off work tomorrow to take Penny to the paediatrician with Melissa.
See you tomorrow evening!
