Tuesday. But really, Monday. But actually Tuesday.
I'd hoped for an early night, but Melissa had other plans, and we watched a shitty film in bed until 11:30pm, then, at lights out, Penny farted and woke herself up so it took a while to get her back off to sleep, but I couldn't sleep due to Batman excitement.
Anyway, we drifted off and awoke at 5am, Penny was restless and wouldn't go back to sleep. So at about 6am Melissa made her a bottle and fed her and I tried to get a smidgen of sleep before my alarm went off.
Nope.
I walked to work in the freezing wind, managing to avoid any rain and then spent my day trying not fall asleep. Lunchtime came and went and then before I knew it, at a 4:15pm I left work and went to (the) ASDA on foot for some essentials. 4 heavy bags later, I marched home, my shoulder aching from the bag over it containing a sack of potatoes, my lower back aching coz of the long walk with the heavy bags...
Nevertheless, I got home to a lovely Christmassy house with Melissa and Penny watchin Mickey Mouse. For a change. I took over Penny Patrol while Melissa cooked tea, then we swapped at the halfway stage and I finished cooking tea while Melissa and Penny had snuggles. The child stops crying when Mickey Mouse comes on the TV. It's quite amazing.
Tea eaten, Penny in the bath, all that's left for me to do is the dishes and then some MW3 before an early night to watch This is England 1990 with Melissa at 10pm.
See you tomorrow with a largely Batman-centric update.
Bye!
