Day 287

Monday. I was thankful not to be in work today as I didn't sleep very well last night. Penny did, I'm not blaming her, I'm just too excited about the 6 minute Batman preview on Wednesday.

Anyway, at about 6:30am we all awoke as Penny was hungry, I looked out the window and was thankful I didn't have to be in work today, as, later one, when Penny wouldn't go back to sleep, at about the time I was due to be walking to work, the heavens opened. I rolled over and went back to sleep.

At about half 9 I made Penny a bottle up and Melissa fed her while I did us some bacon butties. By 11:30am we were out the door and on our way to Aintree retail park. I ditched Melissa at NEXT Home and went to Halford's for some new headlight bulbs. They fitted them for £12, which a little shy of the £120 I was quoted by Arnold Clarke. Very, very pleased.

After that I met Melissa, Penny and Emma her little boy Harry at Frankie and Benny's for a birthday lunch for Emma. Cracking value, that place.

Perusing the menu.

I had an espresso and had a 20 minute Batman freakout, then flew to BestBuy to check out their 'closing down sale' and left empty handed and disappointed.

Then I met Melissa and Penny and we went to B&Q for a length of wood, more Christmas lights and a doormat.

Home, then. I put the lights up outside, and we forewent tea, as we were still full from lunch. I fed Penny and we watched Pointless.

Some tummy-time for Penny, then a bath. She's been very good today, only a little sick. She had a bit of a kick off after her bath, but we gave her some Colic-calm which Emma had given us which really seemed to work, then Melissa caught up on Hollyoaks and fed Penny while I wrote an email to Halfords commending the young man who assisted me today on her professionalism and then wrote this up.

I'm hoping for an early night tonight, after some MW3.

See you tomorrow.
