Day 285/286

Saturday had me up with the larks feeding Penny and putting her back to bed, then we all had a bit more sleep until mid morning when we got up, I fed Penny again while Melissa showered and then took Penny to nanny's house leaving me free reign to play as much MW3 as I wanted.

I didn't though. I didn't even turn the XBOX on. I cleaned the house from top to bottom, hoovering as I went and then, after checking the opening times on the internet, walked up to Ashurst Post Office to send some international parcels. Of course, when I got there, there was a sign saying that the opening hours has recently changed, and they were of course shut. So I walked in the opposite direction, to (the) ASDA to the post office there. I stood in a queue for what seemed like an hour, sent all the letters and Melissa picked me up, sans Penny.

Penny was staying with nanny last night, as Melissa was on her works night out, and I was gate crashing. We got home, I made us some lunch and then we both got ready to go out.

Melissa wouldn't pose for a photograph while we waited for the taxi, I went to try again but our carriage arrived and it was off to Howard's. Whilst there we had a drink and then got in another taxi to the station where we met everyone else, then got the train into Liverpool.

We went for a drink in Lloyds bar and I got Melissa to pose for a photo.

Beauty and the beast. Me, I'm the beast.
We had a couple of drinks and then went to Sapporo's for our Christmas meal. It was really nice, the steak was heavenly. It was a little expensive, but the man did set fire to stuff and throw potatoes at us, so you can't really argue.

Then we went to Walkabout for more drinks, then me, Melissa and Howard slipped off home. I was dissuaded from getting a kebab, much to my annoyance, the taxi ride home is a blur and the next thing I knew it was half 5 this morning and I needed a wee.

Sunday, then, saw us lie in until about half 10, then we got up, showered and went to Melissa's mums, via McDonalds for coffees and festive pies. Whilst there we were treated to bacon and egg butties and smiles from Penny.

We came home via (the) ASDA as Penny had no formula left, and the car had no petrol left, then settled in at home for X Factor (Melissa) and internet (me).

Penny's just kicked off proper big style, possibly due to acid, hunger, tiredness, she maybe has a cold... There's a whole host of things that could be wrong with her in theory. For the moment though, a bottle has shut her up.

Off work again tomorrow (and why not), so expect an action packed update tomorrow evening.

See you then.
