Saturday. Guess who woke up at 2am? It wasn't me, it wasn't Melissa, it was Penny. She was unhappy and wouldn't settle. We think her teeth might be coming through, or at least, her gums aching with a view to her teeth coming through, so on a hunch we gave her some Ashton and Parson's Teething powder. It was a gamble that paid off, as at 8am we woke and she was only just coming round.
I changed her, did her bottle, fed her and then snuggled her in bed for a bit watching Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse on Disney. She was watching it, not me. Afterwards, Melissa took her downstairs and a bit later, we had a brief Skype session with Uncle David and Aunty Jenni in New Zealand. Penny showed off, rolling onto her back and chatting away.
I made breakfast and then Melissa got Penny dressed and took her shopping while I cleaned the kitchen, tended to the leak under the sink from an unknown pipe, and put Christmas lights on the front of the house. Melissa came home then and suggested (ordered) I tidy the front garden a bit, so I did. The recycling chaps are going to love me on Thursday, the green bin's stuffed.
Then I reluctantly cleaned the valance above the bay window (I don't know if that's what it's called, and I don't mean Holly Valance (I'd clean her without question. Head to toe)).
Melissa's brother and girlfriend and their baby came to visit this afternoon. We had coffee/tea and compared notes, then once they'd left I fed Penny while Melissa made us a yummy tea and watched The Chase together.
Melissa is currently in the bath with Penny, then it's time for X Factor semi final and I'm A Celebrity grand final. Fortunately I'll be watching a film throughout all this, so I wont have to endure any of it.
See you tomorrow!
