Monday. As Garfield used to say "I hate Mondays". Actually, I'm mostly ambivalent towards them, but this Monday was was cold and dark, and I was tired. Worse still, my planned quiet day was not very quiet at all.
Damn Mondays.
I cooked that roast I mentioned yesterday, played some MW3 and then read my book. Penny slept well though, and so that's all that matters.
Today, Melissa had her eye brows tinted. I didn't notice a difference but pretended I did, then the blind man, that is, the man who fits blinds, came round to tell us that he couldn't fit blinds where we wanted them, so that was good.
Melissa then went into Liverpool with her mother and Penny to take some stuff back to some shops. They returned at about 5:30, with Melissa trying to hide a shopping bag from me. I'm assuming it was some sort of Christmas present for me. We'll find out in less than a month, ladies and gentlemen. Yes, that's right, less than a month until Christmas. I should probably start doing some shopping.
Penny's been delightful this evening. She can hold her head up on her own, her back is getting stronger and she's even trying to sit up. She's chattering away and making all sorts of weird noises. But she's still spewing loads, so the appointment with the peadiatrician can't come sooner. We're just glad she's not suffering with it.
This evening, after a completely unhealthy tea of pizza, chips and ice cream, we watched some TV, then Melissa bathed Penny while I tidied the kitchen and dining room. Melissa is planning to watch Desperate Scousewives tonight, I'm planning on avoiding that at all costs by playing some MW3 and maybe watching a film.
See you tomorrow.
