Day 264/265

Saturday was good. Slept far too well, Penny woke Melissa at about half 4 for her feed and demolished 6oz in 9 minutes. A new personal best. We've moved her up to those level 3 teats I was telling you about. They really seem to make a difference not just in how fast she'll polish off a bottle, but also her refluxing as decreased noticeably. She's burping OK too, despite the fact we've cut out the Infacol.

Anyway, at 8:30am she woke for her next feed of the day, and Melissa said to me "You can do this one. make her bottle, change her, feed her..." Instead of trying to argue my way out of it I just got up and did it all. Very impressed with myself. She once again wolfed down her bottle and we out her back to sleep. They both dozed for about an hour while I internetted then Melissa made breakfast and Penny's nanny came to collect her for the day.

We had a busy day of cleaning and painting ahead and we didn't want Penny there with all the fumes and stuff, so nanny took her off our hands and we set to work. Melissa cleaned the life out of the kitchen and I glossed a selection of doors, then went to (the) ASDA to buy some tights. For Melissa. I came home, we had lunch (at about 3pm) and got ready to go out to dinner with Tracy and Dave to celebrate my birthday (3 weeks ago) and Dave's (a week ago).

We had a lovely meal at Bennet's in the Wrightington Country Club then went for last orders at The Foot. We got home (Melissa's mum and dads) a little after midnight and went to bed. I didn't really sleep though, as I'd had a espresso.

Sunday had me wide awake from 6:30am. Lying in bed, staring at the ceiling. Melissa's mum, who had Penny in her room, is usually awake early, so I put my clothes on and went to see her, and Penny, but they were both fast asleep, so I went back to bed again. And lay, staring at the ceiling again.

At 9am everyone decided to join me in the land of the living. I snuggled Penny while Melissa woke herself up, then we went downstairs and I made us all breakfast.

That's Penny enjoying her inflatable doughnut. Aww. Anyway, once that was done we bundled everything up and headed into Wigan, to (the) ASDA. I know, I can't stay away.

We bought shopping for the week, and then went home via Melissa's mum and dads where a better than average casserole was waiting for us. I gorged myself on that to the point of uncomfortableness and then we came home.

It's realllllly cold tonight, like, 6 degrees. Melissa has predicted snow, but she's not a trained meteorologist, what does she know?

Back to work tomorrow, can't wait. Firstly though, time for Penny's bath. And I must clean the oven out.

See you tomorrow.
