Day 248

Despite minor screamage we all slept until about 5am once again. I had some mental dreams, then got up at 7am and walked to work.

Work was alright, but Howard wouldn't let me play on the rides at lunchtime.

Penny had the doctors this morning about her reflux. She has been routinely spewing up her bottle in hideous volumes for a few weeks. She doesn't seem to be in any pain, but Melissa is constantly having to change her, and... Well it's just a pain really. Anyway, the doctor prescribed infant Gaviscon, which we've had before and haven't been pleased with the results. It didn't do much to quell the spewage, and what's more it made her constipated and all that entailed. The main reason it was prescribed was to thicken the food and help to keep it down. It sort of worked. Anyway, Melissa diligently gave Penny a sachet with her feed when she got home from the doctors and it all seemed to be going well until, about 2 hours later, there was a scream and Penny had barfed up what appeared to be a symbiotic alien life form. Well, it was a thick pastey mess, at least. That was enough of the Gaviscon.

Some research later we hit upon a potential solution : Aptamil Comfort. It's the same sort of milk she's used to, but it mixes to a thicker consistency.  Melissa picked me up from work, I got changed, so did Penny.

Thank to my mum and dad for this abomination...
To Wigan! Via a fireworks shop!

The man was very helpful, and I'm almost certain I've been conned somehow. He sold me £80 worth of fireworks for £50. I mean, that's a good deal, right? But I can't help but think there's something amiss. I suppose we'll see on Saturday night.

Looking at it, it does look more like £40 worth of fireworks for £40. But there we go. I bought some explosives, that makes me happy.

After that we went to buy some of that Aptamil Comfort and some larger teats (teehee) and then went to Pizza hut to feed Penny. And have some tea. And very nice, and reasonably priced it was too. Then, to (the) ASDA for supplies.

We came home, bathed Penny, fed her with her new formula, and touch wood she seems to have kept almost all of it down. Fingers crossed.

There might be a blog tomorrow, there might not be. I just don't know. Depends what we get up to.

See you soon, and if I don't, have a great weekend.

Also, over 9,000 page views so thanks so much to everyone for reading!
