Penny awoke at about 6am for a feed, and I dozed until 7ish, when I got up for work. I walked into work and was almost naked by the time I got there, as it was far too warm for October and I'd dressed for, well a nuclear winter if I'm honest.
I pootled round work, showed off my Kindle to those geeky enough to appreciate it, and then Melissa and Penny picked me up at 4pm and we went to her mum and dads for dinner and trick or treat.
I carved a pumpkin, but otherwise avoided the 'festivities'.
As most of you who know me know, I'm not the most artistic, creative, skilful or dexterous person... So this is what we ended up with :
That took at least three marker pen outlines and several false starts, but a 2 year old boy in a Batman costume called Harry from across the road loved it, so at least someone appreciated the effort.
After that was done we ate tea, and then me and Penny had a tongue-pulling competition.
We called it a draw, but I think I won really.
After that we came home, via (the) ASDA, of course, for infant Calpol for Penny, as she's got her jabs tomorrow, and I priced up fireworks. Oh yes.
This evening is Penny's bath time, and then I'm hopefully going to watch Batman (the first one, with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson).
See you tomorrow!
