Day 232

Last night I ended up sleeping on the couch until 3:30am. Melissa had apparently woken me at about midnight, and I'd made motions to come upstairs to bed, but I'd clearly decided I was comfortable where I was and fell straight back to sleep.

At 3:30am I awoke with a cat in my face and a sore neck, and went to proper bed. Melissa was, she says, awake, and just about to feed Penny, but I don't recall that either.

I awoke at 7am, anyway, and walked to work. It was a cold, blowy morning, but really quite refreshing.

Work was OK, although I don't recall anything particularly exciting happening. Ellen drove us home at 4pm and I fed Penny while Melissa had a showered and pottered and cooked us tea, before going to the doctors at 6pm.

She came home and we went to her brothers house to meet our new niece, Amelia. She's about the same weight as Penny but much longer and, despite what I've said in the past about all baby's looking alike, she looks NOTHING like Penny, really. She's very lovely though.

We came home then and prepped the hall and kitchen for operation 'Wooden Floor' that my father and uncle (two different people, I'm not inbred) will be carrying out tomorrow. Exciting. We're just a couple of small steps away from getting the house ready for Christmas. Just need a painter/decorator for some high risk wall papering, and we're done.

Exciting.

We watched the season 2 opener of The Walking Dead and now Melissa is watching Big Brother, before we get a lovely early night. I hope.
