5am Penny awoke for feeding, I tried to doze and drift back off, but Melissa came back into the room at about 5:45 complaining her iPhone had stopped working. Penny refused to go back to sleep so at about 6:30 I decided to get up and try and fix the iPhone. I succeeded and upgraded the software but this meant I was running a little late for work, so I grabbed a lift with Ellen.
Project implementation was still ongoing, but it's all gone relatively smoothly, so that's good.
Ellen gave me a lift home at 4pm and I found Melissa and Penny watching TV. She's been more active during the day recently, Penny I mean, but a bit whingy. Her acid reflux and windy pops come in fits and starts. She usually settles when daddy comes home though.
Mother in law soon turned up to babysit while Melissa and myself drove into Aintree to collect some wooden floor.
We vastly underestimated what 16 square metres of floor and underlay would look like, and I certainly hadn't given consideration to how heavy it would be. My back is a mess.
Still, we have it now and that's all that matters.
We had a lovely Mark's and Spencer's tea, caught up on Grey's Anatomy and then put Penny in the bath.
We're going to try and get her to sleep earlier tonight, see if we can trick her into sleeping longer. It's a gamble, she might wake up at 3am. I can't decide if that's better or worse than 5am. We'll see.
We also bought Penny her first Christmas present today. Yay.
