I left Melissa sleeping and Penny gurgling and walked to work for the fresh air. I was still feeling slightly hungover.
Work was pretty damn busy due to some major changes that went in over the weekend, but we coped admirably. I say "we" I mean "they". I just provided sarcastic grammar corrections and glib remarks. But I did it well.
Came home and sat with Penny while Melissa cleaned the house. Penny had apparently been a grump today and so Melissa had had a hard time putting her down. She was fine with me. She loves her daddy. I fed her and we watched Friends the Eggheads then Melissa fed me, and I fed Melissa pudding. A lovely cup of tea and an iced finger (steady on...). I made sure Melissa got the one without the arterial blood that squirted from my finger as I slipped with the knife whilst slicing it. The cup of tea helped with the trauma of almost losing my finger.
This evening Lea and Hannah are coming round for a catch up and tea and biscuits. They are unaware there are no biscuits.
Here's Penny in the bouncer my mum and dad (grandma and granddad) bought her. She loves it, but only when it's bouncing, which causes problems, because she doesn't know how to bounce it herself.
