Day 217

We all slept through until about 5am, when Penny decided she was hungry. She was fed and I dozed until about 7:10am. I got up, text Ellen who'd offered me a lift, confirming I'd like to take her up on this offer, showered and went to wait outside her house.

It was 7:55am before I realised she wasn't coming, and 10am when I got a text off her saying "im off today lol" or something equally banal. Fortunately, I'd chosen to walk to work by then.

At 10amish I got a text from Melissa wishing me a happy anniversary, I replied similarly. It wasn't until about midday that she found the gift and card I'd left for her. She was pleased, obviously, but also mildly annoyed as she'd bought me neither based on the agreement we'd made stating we wouldn't be buying gifts or cards for each other.

At 4pm Jeff gave me a lift home, and Melissa went to (the) ASDA to buy me a gift and a card. And a pizza for tea leaving me and Penny watching Valentine Warner's Coast to Coast.

When she came home I hoovered the house, spoke to my parents, and then cooked tea. I also opened a bottle of wine that'd been given to us as a gift for our wedding back in January.

We watched Friday night's An Idiot Abroad 2, and I've left Melissa watching Vampire Diaries. I'll join her and the baby soon and we'll watch the season opener of Grey's Anatomy. So excited! Penny has, as far as I know, been very well behaved today, which doesn't bode well for tonight...
