Day 212

Day 3 of our Indian summer.

It was a cool morning, but the day turned glorious later on. It was silly-hot at lunch time.

Penny slept well last night, from about midnight until about half 5. Melissa fed her and put her back to sleep and I tossed and turned until 7am, then I got up and went to work. Melissa slept with Penny until about 10am, got up and by noon she was at her mothers sun bathing.

I boiled my cock off in work and then my mother in law picked me up on the way home from (the) ASDA and we went to meet Melissa and Penny at her house, where we had tea and then came home.

My brother David and his fiancĂ©e Jenni in New Zealand (the ones who sent the quilt) had sent us a lovely card and gift for our first wedding anniversary on Monday. Traditionally the first anniversary is the paper anniversary and Jenni is very traditional. She's drawn us a sweet little comic of me and Melissa this time last year, in Las Vegas, getting married, this time this year, in our house with Penny, and this time next year, in our house, with Penny. Worryingly, Melissa is looking rather pregnant. I hope Jenni isn't a witch with the gift of precognition...

Thanks guys! Very unexpected, and very lovely.

As mentioned yesterday, Bella has tablets. Antibiotics which we're supposed to give her. Impossible. Just impossible. We managed to get one of three down her. When we thought we'd got the second one down she spat it back up later on, we found it in her food bowl. I didn't think cats could do that, but there we go.

Penny's in a proper grump this evening. She was a little constipated earlier but that passed... Boy did that pass. Now she's whinging and screaming we think coz she's got a bit of reflux. Melissa has given her some gripe water, and we're preparing a feed.

I hope we have a decent night. Something like last night would be fine. I'm not optimistic though...

See you tomorrow, complete with cake photos.
