Day 211

Tuesday. Not a bad sleep for us last night. Penny was well away by the time I got into bed. I'd watched Blade Runner. Coz it's good. This was after our family film of Labyrinth.

Penny woke at I think half 4 for a feed, and then faffed until about half 5. I had a broken sleep, but it was sleep never the less. Melissa slept in with the baby until about 10am I think.

Lovely morning for a walk into work, it's due to be gloorrrious this week, an Indian summer, they say. It was well 'ot today. It'll only get 'otter.

Melissa came to meet me from work with Penny and we had a lovely walk home.

The wooly hat belies the actual temperature... But there was a cool breeze at times, so perhaps it was justified. I took photo this while Melissa was in the dentist. She hasn't been since August 2006 and I've suggested that while treatment is free she should get a tune up. She thinks she needs a filling. Uh oh.

We came home and me and Penny watched some TV while Melissa took Bella, the smallest cat, to the vet. She'd developed a small patch of like, dry skin on her back. It was icky-looking the on Sunday, so Melissa booked her in to the vets.

It's eczema. Possibly 'stress' induced. It's entirely likely that the change in routine, in noises and smells in the house has thrown her out of whack and it's probably the result of over grooming. The vet gave her an injection, two lots of antibiotics and some special cream. £56. Youch. To teach her a lesson we're getting her neutered in a few weeks. Hah!

We had tea and then I watched some cookery shows while I fed Penny who hasn't been as sick as she has been recently, I spoke to my parent and Melissa had a bath, then we watched the semi final of The Great British Bake Off. Oh my it was tense.

Melissa and Penny are in bed watching... I don't even care any more. I'm going to watch a film now, probably.

See you tomorrow.
