Thank the Lord I had a "holiday" booked today.
We dozed for a large part of the morning, once Penny had settled, and the I heard my phone ringing from my office, so I got up a little after 10am. It was the garage confirming my attendance today.
After some breakfast I headed out. The man at the garage said the car was going to take about 3 hours to fix, which put me at something of a loss. I couldn't walk home, I didn't have a hope of getting a bus, and there was no chance of a lift. So I walked to retail park and I went to see Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy at the cinema. On my own. With three other sad twats. It was good though. Good film, nice, peaceful experience.
Once that was done I walked back to the garage via a fishing pond I didn't know was there. The car was almost ready, so I sorted out some paperwork and then came home.
In laws for tea, chicken curry, then home. Melissa is changing and feeding Penny and then we're going to watch a film together. As a family.
Back to work for me tomorrow. Hopefully we'll all get a better nights sleep.
