Well... Penny slept for at least 7 hours last night. It was amazing. We (Melissa) fed her at about 8am, and we went back to sleep until a little before 10am.
I then watched some TV with Penny while Melissa made breakfast for us. We all lounged about for a bit, and then Melissa had a shower and I went to (the) ASDA for some cream and some lovely flowers for my mother. Awww. Then I headed to the in laws to pick up a bag of meat and then came home.
Shortly afterwards my mum and dad, Penny's grandma and granddad came round. Much to their surprise Penny was awake, and has been awake for most of the afternoon. They'd brought Penny a fluffy snow suit type thing that had paws, ears and a tale, and will make her look like a little pink bear. It's amazing.
Me and my dad did some DIY jobs and my dad definitely didn't drill through the wall and into our bedroom whilst hanging a shelf. No, seriously, he didn't.
I left him to work in the front garden, pruning the hedge while I cooked tea. I should have taken pictures, but I didn't. We had steak, chips, onion rings, petit pois and a (slightly lumpy) pepper sauce. It was pretty good if I do say so myself. Afterwards, we had some of my cheese cake. It was well received, and not too sweet. Quite dense, but very nice. Should go down well next week at work. There will be pictures then. Probably.
Once they'd left I did the dishes (even though I cooked) and sat down with Melissa and the baby for bit, then me and Penny watched some Frasier while Melissa had a shower.
I've just got out the shower myself and will soon be having a beer or two and watching a film while Melissa and Penny watch their traditional Saturday night drivel.
Tomorrow... Sunday. Day of rest? We'll see.
