Blah blah blah... Baby Penny... Yadda yadda yadda... Southport... Whatever.
We have a shower, ladies and gentlemen.
I've just extracted myself from the shower above. My God it was heavenly. Really good pressure, excellent temperature, plenty of room. Amazing.
But enough of that.
This morning started like any other: Incredible, unprecedented cramp in my left calf. It still hurts now. I nearly crushed Penny while I was writhing around in agony. This got me out of bed and into the kitchen where I made far too much eggy bread (thanks Matt and Nic for the suggestion).
Afterwards (that is to say, about 3 hours later) Melissa got Penny ready :
Please note the little shoes. I give up.
Then we headed up to Wigan, to B&Q for the shower curtain and hose that afforded me the opportunity to shower this evening. It was a nice day and we headed into Southport. There was some sort of cultural... Thing going on and we watched the Gdansk Stilt Walkers tit about for far too long. Boring. No talent other than balance. Simon Cowell would have had none of it.. At the end everyone clapped. I made the observation that a sure-fire way to get a standing ovation was to perform in a venue with no seating.
The hog roast bap more than made up for it though.
We came home, Melissa changed and fed Penny while I scrubbed the last of the grout in the bathroom. I then watched Penny while Melissa did some bleaching and cleaning in the bathroom, which I soon after completely trashed when I had my shower.
Back to work tomorrow. I'm sort of looking forward to it. But I think I'm going to miss Melissa and Penny. One things for sure, these blog posts are going to get considerably less interesting from this point on (if that's possible).
This evening we're going to watch a programme about Fred West, I'm going to have a beer and an early night.
Here is the sun setting over Southport (and my paternity leave).
See you tomorrow!
