She woke a few times through the night for feeds and I offered Melissa excellent support from my side of the bed, in between snores. At her last feed Melissa once again put her in bed with us for snuggles.
Half 8 came round and we were awake and up, ready to face the day. Well, Penny slept some more. But Melissa and I were ready to face the day.
At about 12pm we made out a shopping list and I headed to (the) ASDA which, for a bank holiday Sunday, was surprisingly quiet. I got everything on the list. Nothing more and nothing less, then came home to find Melissa and Penny sleeping on the couch. I'd have taken a picture but I was carrying heavy shopping so instead I unloaded everything in the kitchen. Melissa came to check my purchases were up to scratch and once they were given the OK I sat with the baby while Melissa changed clothes and put her make up on, then I dusted off my panini machine and made us ham and cheese toasties for lunch. Om nom nom.
Shortly afterwards great uncle Lawrence and great aunty April came to visit. I made tea and brought out biscuits, then grandma and granddad came round with cake and a lovely baby bouncer which I struggled to assemble, only to be told to take it down for now as Penny isn't quite big enough for it. The cake was good.

Melissa, Penny and myself headed up to the in laws for showers, then came home and had tea.
This evening we might try for another film, or Melissa might go to bed with Penny and watch the endless drivel she's got clogging up the Sky+ box.
Bank Holiday Monday tomorrow. I wonder what wonders the day will hold for us!
See you then.
