Needless to say, I was shattered when my alarm went off. Walked into work, leaving Melissa with the car for some errands she had to run.
Work was slow, probably due to fatigue, broken up only by my purchasing some plug sockets and light switches from some amateurish website. Melissa picked me up at 4pm.
The men came and fitted the carpet in the baby's room today. It's lovely. Ivory, apparently. Pictures will be made available when the room is completed, which should be in a couple of days. The baby thing is getting terrifyingly close.

While Melissa was out I set to work on constructing the furniture for the baby's room. Holy shit it was heavy work getting it up stairs.
The cupboard had three super heavy boxes, the changing table had two and the shelves just the one. I've not put the cot together yet, but I'll probably do that tomorrow. Melissa is itching to start filling the wardrobe with clothes but we're not sure where we want to put it yet so I've persuaded her not to, to cut down on the weight when we have to move the bastard thing.
Tile man is coming to measure up the bathroom on Wednesday morning, and we're waiting to hear from the joiner who's coming to sort us out with some new doors for upstairs. We're nearly there!
Midwife today, also, baby is no longer measuring "big", looks like she's caught up with herself so that's good. She's face down in the womb but not quite "engaged" yet. Less than 4 weeks until the official due date.
I anticipate sleeping well tonight, after a single beer and the most recent episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
See you tomorrow!
