Watched the most recent episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm last night, it doesn't get better than that. Perfectly written, well observed, well performed, and hilarious.
Afterwards I joined Melissa in bed for A&E Drivel and then we went to sleep.
I woke up at 4am to find what I assumed was an invisible bulldozer driving through the room. It took a second or two to realise that there was no such thing as an invisible bull dozer, and it quickly became apparent that the source of the aural trauma I was being subjected to was in fact my beautiful wife. She's not a snorer, normally. When she does it's genuinely quite sweet and endearing. Last night, not so much. She was complaining before I (rather insensitively) went to sleep that she was bunged up, and she couldn't blow her nose because her bump hurt when she did. Evidently, she didn't discover a way to clear her airway and as a result spent the night perfecting her impression of a faulty pneumatic drill.
I didn't want to disturb her because she finds it so hard to get to sleep, so I tried to ignore her. Impossible. It started to annoy me deeply and I let out an exasperated "fucking hell" to which she said "what's up?" I was incredulous. Was she awake all this time? "You're snoring really loudly" I said. "I'm all bunged up", she mumbled. And that was that. I thought about recording her, as she has done me in the past. But I'm more mature than that.
Anyway, enough of that. I re-woke up at 7:15, put my own pants on today and walked into work. It was a truly glorious morning, and indeed it turned into a lovely warm day.
Not much happened at work, in fact the day dragged somewhat. I drove home, anyway, and found 2GB of nice new Crucial RAM waiting for me on the mat, along with a card from CityLink to say that no one had been in to deliver some baby stuff to, and that they'd try again tomorrow.
Watched some Breaking Bad and had my tea, cleaned the kitchen and fed the cats. Who knows where the rest of my night will take me? I know I'll have to pick Melissa up from work soon, and will have to squeeze in "having a shower" at some point, but then I don't know.
Sink should be done tomorrow. Oh yes. Expect pictures.
See you then.
