Wow. A half decent nights sleep. I slept in the spare bed again, for fear Melissa would wake me up. However, the anti histamines she's been prescribed knock her right out and she slept all night and most of the day. She's also not been as itchy as she had been so in all in, awesome.
Work was quiet today. Polished off some bits and bobs and prepared myself for a shopping trip into Aintree after work. We hit Homebase with a vengeance and bought a bathroom light, a ceiling fan/light combo and some paint and rollers. Then we went to B&Q and bought some wall paper, a light switch and some more paint. The lights will hopefully be fitted by father on Sunday afternoon.
We also popped into Mothercare to buy some pregnancy bras and nipple pads. Too much information? Possibly.
Afterwards we headed to see Melissa's friend Lorraine and then home via the Colonel for some chicken for Me, Melissa and Melissa's mother. She'd been at our house today cleaning out the dining room and stripping wall paper. She's coming back tomorrow to do more cleaning and a bit of wall papering if she has time.
We showered and headed home, when I re-enacted an iconic scene from Byker Grove. Whilst priming freshly plastered ceiling for a proper coat of paint tomorrow, I mixed too much water with the emulsion and it went everywhere, including my eyes. Ouch.
Still, made a good job of it, so there we go. Rewarded myself with a cold bottle of Bulmer's pear cider I found in the fridge.
Tomorrow, as stated above, cleaning, tidying, painting and decorating.
