Day 131

I watched Terminator 2, drank a bottle of wine, and snored all night. Much to Melissa's disappointment. She slept even less than usual.

I got up at 9am, Melissa awoke at 10am. We had tea/coffee and I had a bowl of muesli. Melissa phoned the midwife to see what she could do about the itching, and she suggested going into the maternity ward to have some blood tests, because apparently severe itching during pregnancy can be a sign of liver problems. Yikes.

My uncle Lawrence came round to lay some floorboards for us in the bathroom and while he was doing that I disconnected the cable that powered the old shower. It was like I was defusing a bomb. I expected a simple cable to disconnect. No chance.

Blue! No red! *kaboom*
Still, I got it done, disconnected all the length of excessively think and probably expensive cable. I also managed to shove a load of crap into the attic and go some way towards reclaiming the dining room. I was going to shove the polystyrene boards that we reclaimed from the lean to up there but they were too big and a bit grim, so Melissa's going to take them off our hands for use in his garage. Result.

Floorboards : Laid.

Now all we need is a bathroom suite and some tiles. Sorted.

I tidied around the bathroom area, hoovered, Melissa got home from the hospital and we went up her mum and dads house to shower, then up to the pub to say hi to everyone, and have a few drinks. Melissa has been prescribed some piriton so fingers crossed there'll be less/no itching tonight.

Home now, Melissa is drying her hair. We're having and early night tonight as we've got an early start tomorrow for an all day wedding type thing. There's a chance there won't be a blog tomorrow, but I'll get one sorted on Monday, hopefully full of pictures.

See you then! (We passed 4,000 views, as predicted. Thanks everyone!)
