The plaster related news is that the plasterer is coming tomorrow. We hope.
We had to go to Ormskirk Hospital this morning for some routine glucose tests for Melissa. I didn't have to go as such, but I fancied a lie in, so booked half a day holiday.
Once they took two blood samples and Melissa drank a sweet glucose drink, we had to wait for two hours before they took a third sample to get the results, so we went for a wander round Southport and settled on some tiles in Tile Giant.
Mind blowing beige... They're cheap enough and should look lovely with our new bathroom suite.
Afterwards we went back to work and I had to cram a whole day of work into just one afternoon. It was fairly hectic, but I got there in the end. Melissa's fine. Bloods were normal showing no signs of gestational diabetes. I love the word gestational. It's almost onomatopoeic. Somehow.
After work we went to (the) ASDA to buy a load of Strawberries (why do people call them Strawbrerries?) and cream for a charity thing at work tomorrow, and then home for a change of clothes, then up to the in laws for showers. From there we went to Foot O'Th'Causeway in Billinge with Tracy and Dave. It's a pub. We had some really good food and me and Dave supped several pints of this :
10 points to anyone who can correctly decipher the logo. It's looks like a water skiing hedgehog with wings and tail. But that seems silly. Whatever, it was very nice.
Melissa and I are both stuffed now. She's in bed watching Hollyoaks, while I write this and half-heartedly help organise a mate 30th. When Hollyoaks is finished, I'm going to bed to breath a garlicky mist into the bedroom.
Melissa is a lucky girl.
Friday tomorrow, see you then.
