Day 117

Well, well, well. What did I say yesterday about it being my lucky day? We won the bastard lottery!

Yeah, OK, it wasn't the £104,000,000 but it was a win none the less. OK, it wasn't my line that won either, it was Melissa's but that's not the point. A win is a win. When I got my email to say there was "exciting news about my ticket" I shit myself. When I logged in to check and saw the amount I sucked the shit back up into my arse.

I started watching two films last night and turned both of them off. Suckerpunch is shit. Cedar Rapids is also a bit shit. I didn't even sup win. Nevermind. I joined Melissa in bed to watch some Man Vs Food which is a great show.

This morning we got up early anticipated a plasterer who never turned up (he's coming tomorrow). We  had a modest breakfast (toast for Mel, muesli for me) and headed up to Warrington. To collect our pram. We also spent a fortune on nursery furniture which muggins here will probably break his back trying to assemble in 4 - 6 weeks. It has been an expensive day. I took pictures of the pram, but they don't appear to have saved for some reason. While we were in the baby shop they man in there suggested we head up to Laura Ashely in the heart of Warrington to look at the baby wallpaper. He gave us vague directions and off we went.

90 minutes later we were still driving round Warrington, as lost as you can be. However, it was clearly fate as we stumbled upon this :

I was ecstatic. I'd already had a cup of tea and a can of Rockstar, so a triple shot latte really added fuel to my caffeine fire. We found the motor way and headed to Mel's mum and dads to drop off and assemble the pram. We can't have it at our house, it's bad luck apparently. We showered and headed home.

I'm currently vibrating and I can't sit still. It should make watching a film more interesting this evening. I shall be imbibing wine, Melissa will be eating ice cream. We're probably going to watch The Two Towers, the second film in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

I'm off to cook some tea for us both.

See you tomorrow.
