Didn't sleep too well (she did, bitch), and after my walk to work, before I'd even sat at my desk, I was presented with an urgent incident to fix that required complex mathematics. Something that I'm not good at at the best of times, not too mention when I'm absolutely knackered and can't see past the sleep in my eyes. However, when all is said and done I coped admirably under the stress and resolved the incident.
The rest of the day passed almost without incident, until, at a little after 3pm I received a phone call from Melissa who was at the midwife. The midwife had recorded a higher-than normal blood pressure and so had recommended Melissa go to the hospital for some tests.

Everything was fine. By the time we got there her blood pressure had lowered and the baby's heart rate was also fine. She has to go back to the midwife on Monday to check her blood pressure again, but everything looks to be OK. Thank you to Ellen and Andy for providing cover for Melissa at work!
We got chippy for tea and Melissa is in the bath relaxing, keeping her BP low. I think she's going to spend her evening on the internet looking for a maternity dress to wear to the wedding we're going to in July.
Building work update:
The new lintel, or catnic, was harder to acquire than expected and as a result not much got done today unfortunately, but they're coming back tomorrow to get cracking.

This evening I think I might watch a film, but first things first, I need to get back on CODBO to remind them who the boss is... Of course, with Melissa on the internet it might hamper my connection somewhat so if I am shit I can just blame lag.
