Day 66

Sky man did good, Stewart Lee played through flawlessly. Yay.

So, we drove in to work, posted off the mortgage stuff, did work etc, came home, got a phone call from the mortgage people about doing a valuation on the house on Monday which has ostensibly ruined my weekend as it's sure to be spent cleaning the bastard house from top to bottom. Melissa phoned the council about getting some trees cut down.

Anyway, after that we drove into Ormskirk to meet my mother. We had lunch at the jauntily named "Earl of Sandwich" sandwich shop. It was pretty good. After that we drove to the hospital for Scan 2 : Redemption.

The baby, which had been kicking around all morning had once again settled in the awkward, uspide-down-behind-the-pelvis position so there was no joy. The scan lady asked us to go for a walk, so off we went, round the car park and up and down corridors aplenty for about 25 minutes, all the while Melissa drinking water to inflate her bladder until she felt like she was going to burst.

Success!

Still a girl...
Everything looks fine. No more scans now. Well, someone wants one of them fancy pants 4D ones in a few weeks, but after that, no more scans. The next thing is an appointment with the midwife and then, at some point soon, I should imagine, there'll be antenatal classes which I'm pretty sure, after a brief check of my diary, I'm going to be unavailable for. Shame, that.

Home, KFC for tea, Melissa is now in the bath and I'm considering watching a film.

Friday tomorrow. I've barely been in work all week so this should be of no consequence to me. Melissa is at work tomorrow evening until at least 8pm so I'm thinking of getting a curry in, eating that, and drinking loads.

I'll keep you posted.
