Day 59

I did indeed watch Mississippi Burning last night. It was excellent. I used to hate Gene Hackman and I've no idea why.

Didn't want to get up this morning, but I did anyway. Walked into work. It was glorious. I made doubly sure to remember my security pass and key today. Got to work, swiped in, went upstairs to my desk only to find that my key had somehow become detached from the security pass. Typical. A quick phone call to the locksmiths and they were with me by just after 9am. I went to meet the man in the lobby, who informed me he was a "master locksmith" which I said would look amazing on a passport under "profession" and he agreed. He'd been in business for 26 years which made it even more embarrassing when, upon signing him in, I noticed someone had handed my key into reception. Still, I got my moneys worth by making him pick the lock on my drawers, and he gave me a spare set of keys too.

That was the highlight of my work day. Except winning a cake in a raffle that was organised by my wife. There were cries of "fix" but I won fair and square. If I remember I'll take a photo tomorrow when we unveil it as my handiwork at the BBQ. Speaking of which I bought and marinated three quarters of a pigs worth of ribs. They should go down well. The BBQ is ostensibly for the Royal Wedding, but actually it's just an excuse for a piss up.

Some CODBO this evening at which I was moderately successful, then I watched some TV I had to catch up on, including the South Park, which was very funny indeed.

See you tomorrow. Have a goodun if you're doing owt. Here's my ribs:
