Easter morning was happily egg-free. We had burned-cross-buns for breakfast and then, before I had chance to find my wits we were at the in laws, showering and preparing for merriment.
Despite having a lovely day with lovely people there is very little to tell.
The weather was nicer today than yesterday and my mum and dad, mother and father in law, Cath and Ron, Davey and Andrea, and their daughter Sophie, all watched me BBQ very successfully and with great aplomb and we enjoyed some Birds Eye 'Reggae Reggae' quarter pounder burgers (highly recommended), sausages and some of the venison from a few weeks ago. Tommy and Judy presented us with Easter chocolates and in a completely unexpected turn up for the books my mum and dad brought me my first Easter egg in 28 years. We were also given a lovely knitted cardigan from my aunty Anne. Cleaned up today, we did.
All in all a good time was had by everyone. My lovely wife is currently on the phone to Canada, apparently there's 'big news'. I'll fill you in tomorrow, provided it's blog worthy. It could be that Ashley has bought a new pair of shoes. It's hard to tell what constitutes "news" anymore.
When Melissa's done on the phone, I think we're going to watch something spiritual and enlightening. Hopefully it'll be Ghostbusters.
Thor tomorrow. I'm excited. Mel's still not sure what we're going to see. Ace.
I can't recommend the new Paul Simon album "So Beautiful Or So What" enough, as a by the way.
