Melissa woke me up (for no reason) at about 6:30am. I drifted in and out of sleep for about an hour and was finally forced to get up at a little after 8am. Melissa very kindly went to (the) ASDA for milk and hot cross buns. I'm not sure why they're called hot cross buns, they're not hot until you toast them, and when you do, they don't really retain their heat very well either. They're nice though.
Stew and John awoke and we took breakfast in the conservatory. Tea and warm cross buns. Lovely way to start Good Friday. Stew threw up shortly after this, and I drove them both home. Melissa, in the meantime, went back to Warrington to purchase a pram with her mother. We pick it up in July.
I played some CODBO with Howard while I waited for Melissa to come home. I played so badly I was glad when Mel got home and suggested going up her mum and dads for some sun bathing. While we were there I had a burger off the George Formby grill and just generally sat round. I hoovered a years worth of shit out the car. It's proper spik and span now (racist?).
I rewarded my efforts with this:
I sat supping in the sun awaiting my traditional fish and chips.
I had hoped for a BBQ but that wasn't to be. Possibly for the best, as at around 7pm it started belting down. Thunder and lightening, the whole she-bang. If I was a God-fearing man I might suggest that the rain coincided, symbolically, with Jesus dying on the cross. Then again, it could just be coincidence. It's hard to tell. Whatever the case was, it didn't stop me enjoying Raiders of the Lost Ark on BBC Three.
Melissa just called me downstairs. She is watching the latest Vampire Diaries and the baby has started kicking. I hope it's some sort of protest directly related to the dross she's watching on TV. But again, it's likely to just be a coincidence.
We've a BBQ to attend tomorrow, provided it stops raining.
See you later, and Happy Easter!
