This morning, first day of a 5 day weekend, we were both up before 8am, naturally. Out the house by 9:40, at work by 9:50, at my desk by 9:55. I love my days off.
Wage slip printed out we went into the concourse to sort out our re-mortgage application. All dropped off, and identified, we then headed up to Warrington, to the biggest Mothercare on the planet, to look at a pram we had no intention of buying. Then, on the way to Babies 'R' Us we stopped at a placed called The Baby Store and found the pram we wanted for a lot less then we had expected, so there's a chance that by this time tomorrow we'll have a pram. Yay.
Then, we headed to Mothercare in Aintree mainly because I felt we hadn't been to enough baby merchandising stores. It was about 1pm by this point. We picked up a lovely tshirt we'd ordered and headed into Ormskirk to sit in traffic for 30 minutes. When we got bored of that we drove to the hospital for our 20 week scan.
The baby was lying upside down and as a result the scan lady couldn't get a good picture of her brain, so we've been booked in for 2 weeks time to try again.
This is what the scan room looks like when Melissa goes to the loo and the scan lady leaves me unattended. The way I saw it, my options were either "take a picture" or "see what my intestines look like and probably destroy an expensive piece of kit". Fortunately I opted for the former.
We got home, I hoovered, lost about a stone through sweat and sat round in my under pants while Melissa went out.
I might have a shower. See you tomorrow.
