Day 48

So, the culture thing went out the window when I noticed Howard was playing CODBO. I joined him for a few games and then went to bed to just after midnight.

Woke up nice and early, not through choice, but because Melissa was awake and she hates to see me sleep. I made us breakfast of hot cross-bun-loaf-toast and tea and we headed out shopping. We went to Mothercare in Aintree, then Marks & Spencers and then Next. Loads of baby clothes were bought and then we headed over to  Wallasey, to my mum and dads for Sunday dinner, but not before stopping at Primark in Liscard for more shopping. Fortunately, as we weren't shopping for me I was allowed to go to Costa for a treat.

Shopping done we went for a VERY brief walk on the prom by the site of the old Derby Pool, which is currently the site of a pub called, funnily enough, The Derby Pool. The wind off the Irish sea was bitter though, so we forewent the ice cream and got back in the car and headed to my mum and dads.

Had a delicious roast beef dinner with, for the first time 29 years, peas. As far as I can remember we've NEVER had peas with a roast dinner. Ever. Still, they were a welcome addition. Pudding was rhubarb and apple crumble. It was good. Tart.

Came home, put the bins out and slipped into my lounge wear. Mel is in bed watching Spider-Man on Channel 5. I'd join her, but I can't stand adverts. Not sure what I'm going to do with the rest of my Sunday evening. I might go and watch Spider-Man without adverts. I just don't know.

See you tomorrow!
