I did both. Akira and some drunken CODBO. Both were good.
We awoke at about half 8 and got up shortly after. After a bit of Gene Harris we went first to the post office to send off my DVDs to Music Magpie, then to the other post office to collect a dress Melissa had bought, and then up to the in laws, black pudding in hand, for breakfast.
We arrived to a lovely surprise in the shape of Melissa's uncle Dave, his partner Claire and the kids, Maggie and Gracie. Breakfast eaten Melissa and I headed off to Wigan with the girls for some Primark. I got some shorts, a Captain America t shirt and some Back To the Future boxer shorts. Starbucks was my reward for not moaning excessively.
We headed back to the in laws to lounge about and wait for The Grand National on BBC1. I joined a betting site on Thursday, and they had a special offer were you put a tenner down, and you get £20 free bets so in all we had £30 worth of bets on. Well, £25. I put £5 on the Masters too. I won £3.75 on The National, I got second place, each way. I was pleased though, I've never won anything through online betting, although I did win the sweep at work the other year. I've already forgotten who won this year. It's irrelevant.
We had hot dogs and chicken salad for tea and profiteroles for dessert.
Came home at about 7pm. Mel's getting in the bath and because Sidney Lumet died today I'm deciding which of his films to watch this evening in tribute. It'll either be Network, which I haven't seen, or 12 Angry Men which I have seen, and is one of my favourite all time films.
As you may now be aware, I was fortunately and happily sidetracked from my gardening duties so that's on the schedule for tomorrow now.
