Day 39

While Melissa relaxed in bed last night, watching whatever drivel she watches, I watched The People Vs Larry Flynt. I'd seen it before, years ago, via a hideous pirate version I was given by a lad at school. It was good, but it wasn't as 'court-roomy' as I remember. Haven't really been "feeling" films at the moment. Not sure why.

Friday at work was lovely. The euphoria and awe that my pub quiz sports trivia garnered yesterday was a distant memory and my work mates went back to mocking me at every given opportunity. Such is life.

At lunch, for some reason, I got myself a tomato soup from Greggs. I still can't figure out why as it was a glorious day and the last thing I needed was a lovely hot cup of delicious soup. Helen suggested I leave it to cool down, thus turning it into gazpacho soup but I was limited to a 1hour lunch break and as we were sat on the roof garden, in the blistering sun, the soup had little chance of cooling down.

Lunch over, I returned to my desk to stare at the clock until it was 4pm. It was a quiet afternoon.

On the way home Melissa and I stopped off at the in laws to pick up a step ladder to aid me in my gardening tomorrow and we went home, once again, after stopping off at (the) ASDA, for some black pudding and a bottle of wine.

I cleaned the kitchen and hoovered and Melissa bought us Chinese food for tea. For the second week on the run I ordered half of what I would usually get, all leading towards the less unhealthy life style.

This evening I will drink the wine and either play CODBO or watch Akira. I may do both. I can't know for sure until it happens.

Oh, and I'm still listening to a lot of Gene Harris.

Have a good weekend!

Soup was a baad choice!
