Day 38

Last night I had a few beers and watched just over an hour of The Green Hornet (shit, I realise now that I hate Seth Rogen) and after that I put on Hitchcock's classic film from 1951, Strangers On A Train. It was excellent. They certainly don't make them like they used to.

To today : You'll be pleased to know I put my underpants on the correct way round this morning, first time. As a result my day was markedly better than yesterday. I didn't break anything at work, and even remembered Karl Power's name before the sporty-statto geeks I work with. Highlight of my day, that. That and the pint of Hannibal's Nectar at the pub. Lovely stuff.

Yes, the pub. We ended up there because Kate (mentioned yesterday) is off on maternity leave today so we went to drink alcohol at her at lunch time.

2 pints later and I was back at work, half asleep. Fortunately me and Melissa finished at 3:30pm. We came home without visiting (the) ASDA and set about applying to re-mortgage the house. Our 2 years fixed rate expires at the end of April and we want to get the bathroom done, mainly so I can stand up to shower, instead of squatting in the bath, freezing to death whilst soaking the floor due to a lack of screen or curtain.  And also, so, you know, we have a bathroom we're not embarassed for people to use.

The re-mortgage process is surprisingly easy and, fingers crossed, we should be able to get a bit of extra money in the next few months and set wheels in motion for the new bathroom. I'll document the process in photo-blog. You lucky people.

Tonight, some more beers and a film.

See you tomorrow.
