Day 21/22 - Sunday 20th / Monday 21st March

Sunday
After I finished my write up of Saturday, I jumped in the shower and we went to the in-laws for Sunday dinner. When we arrived I was told to go out into the garden... This is what was awaiting me :

NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED
(scroll down)

Good, hey?

The Father-in-Law is a hunter (he's fulled licensed etc) and had been out hunting over the weekend, in the wilds of Scotland. Late Saturday afternoon, the above viscera had been frolicking around a lovely field without a care in the world. Aww.

So after a brief lesson in butchery (and a thinly veiled threat not to f**k his daughter over) we went inside and settled down to a lovely joint of beef and all the trimmings.

Came home after an episode of DIY SOS. That's the only program I can watch Nick Knowles in without being physically sick. I can't really remember what we did when we got home. She watched Dancing on Ice, I did not. But I was too tired to do anything else, and it seems, use energy to create a memory of it.

Monday
Back to work. Shattered. Had a good nights sleep, too. Woke up and had breakfast, tea and toast. That tea was the only caffeinated drink I had today which I think is a first. I'm really feeling it now though.

We were told there was to be an emergency cross site briefing at 2pm today. Usually when these things are announced it's big news. The last time we had one of these, for example, we were told we were going to be getting a brand spanking new building. We all traipsed upstairs in nervous anticipation, expecting news that the new building plan had been cancelled or something else. Nothing of the sort. Just some minor movements in the leadership team. It was a waste of a meeting.

Came home via (the) ASDA for some bits and bobs. Soap, mainly. The wife is still feeling a bit off colour and decided for tea she wanted eggy bread. I wanted something a bit more hearty so had a bowl of pasta in carbonara sauce, with some garlic bread.

We watched Friends on E4 (for the billionth time) and I caught an advert (I usually tune them out) for a website called MusicMagpie which is a little like Mazuma. You enter the barcode of your DVDs or CDs or computer games into the website and they give you a price for them. Usually about 50p on average, but as I have over 150 DVDs it soon starts adding up, so that kept me busy for a while.

It's gonna be another early night tonight, I think. Probably after One Born Every Minute on Channel 4. Hopefully it's better than last weeks.

And before I go, just a slight baby update : The missus, as she is incredibly impatient, has booked a private appointment at a clinic next week for a sexing scan for the baby. OooooOOooOoOOOOOooo!
